Role- Moulding Operator

Location- Runcorn

Three-weekly rotating shifts, Monday - Friday:

06:30 - 15:00

14:30 - 23:00

22:30 - 07:00

Salary Starting rate £29,203 + late shift payment & company & attendance bonus

We are looking for a senior Operative for a plastic Manufacturing company, you will be experienced in using manual and automated Injection Moulding machinery and able to stand in for the supervisor as needed.

Key duties

* Perform mould changes, material and colour changes.

* Prepare equipment, tools, paperwork, and ancillary items for production setup.

* Monitor daily production and quality control records; identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.

* Ensure quality standards and production targets are consistently met.

* Operate machinery efficiently under pressure, minimizing downtime.

* Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

* Conduct routine housekeeping and maintenance of machinery and work areas.

* Carry out all necessary manual tasks associated with the moulding process.

* Report any potential issues with equipment, facilities, or safety to management.

* Provide performance feedback and assist in training new starters.

* Suggest improvements to safety, equipment, and operational procedures.

* Maintain and record health and safety checks.

* Provide cover for supervisors and operators during absences

Ideal Candidate Profile:

* Previous injection moulding experience is desirable but not essential - full training will be provided.

* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

* Organized, motivated, and reliable with good time-management skills.

* Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

* Confident communicator with a proactive and professional attitude.

* Flexible, dependable, and committed to supporting the team.

* UK driving license is beneficial.

* Must have the legal right to work in the UK
