Simon Acres Recruitment are seeking an Assistant Branch Manager for a well-established, and highly successful independent supplier of construction products based in Derby.

The Assistant Branch Manager will work closely with the Branch Manager in this 'hands on' position to ensure the smooth running of the branch, and that all accounts develop profitability. The Assistant Branch Manager will also take full responsibility for the branch in the Branch Manager's absence, so this is a strong opportunity to progress and develop your career further.

Basic Salary: Starting from £30,000 per annum, DOE

Working Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm

No Weekends!

Main duties:

* Managing existing accounts

* Maximising sales opportunities and being proactive in internal and external sales calls

* Working on the trade counter and covering the warehouse/yard as and when required, always maintaining health and safety

* Taking full responsibility for the branch in the Branch Manager's absence

Candidate requirement:

* Ideally has knowledge of the trade/construction industry and knowledge of products and services

* Has experience with aspects of a branch, including Sales, Operations, Administration and Stock Control

* Have great communication and organisation skills, as well as be IT Literate

* Be driven and self-motivated
