Science Teacher - Daventry

Location: Daventry, Northamptonshire

Salary: MPS/UPS - Competitive, based on experience

We are working with a number of secondary schools in Daventry who are looking to appoint enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Teachers for the academic year starting September 2025. These schools offer a welcoming and supportive environment where teaching staff are encouraged to inspire students and help them develop a strong foundation in scientific knowledge and skills.

As a Science Teacher, you will be delivering engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, covering a range of science subjects and preparing students for their GCSEs. Experienced teachers may also have the chance to teach A-Level science modules, depending on the school.

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver lessons in line with the science curriculum, ensuring all students are supported and challenged

Develop students' understanding of scientific concepts through practical activities and clear explanations

Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to aid improvement

Maintain positive classroom management to create a safe and productive learning environment

Collaborate with colleagues to develop teaching materials and share best practices

Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support student learning and behaviour where needed

Candidate Profile:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification

Strong subject knowledge in science and understanding of curriculum requirements

Effective classroom management and organisation skills

Commitment to supporting all students, including those with additional learning needs

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Adaptability and professionalism to thrive in a busy school setting
