A great opportunity to join a leading water sector specialist recently awarded Tier One framework status with South West Water. My client, a respected national contractor with a turnover of approximately £200 million, is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of turnkey clean water projects ranging in value from £20 million to over £100 million.

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the successful commercial management of these projects. Your responsibilities will assist in preparing accurate and timely cost forecasts and contribute to maintaining profitability while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and industry standards.

As Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will:

* Have experience of applications and CVR's.

* Prepare forecasts / reports; cost, profit / loss, value etc.

* Manage subcontract enquiries and prepare contracts.

* Be responsible for minimising cost and maximising value, ensuring controls are in place to manage and monitor the operating cost base.

* Assisting with Risk and Value Management to optimise solution and regularly review with the project team.

Our client requires an Assistant Quantity Surveyor with:

* Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar.

* Experience of working for a tier one Civil Engineering contractor, ideally within the Water sector.

* Excellent communication skills.

* Experience of commercially delivering multi-million-pound schemes.

* A good knowledge of NEC suite of contracts.

Salary and benefits include:

* £30,000 - £50,000 per annum.

* Car/car allowance.

* 25 days annual (plus Bank Holidays.

* Option to buy a further 5 days annual leave.

* Benefits package including Life Assurance, Private Medical Insurance, Pension Scheme etc.
