Reed Finance is working with a growing and forward-thinking organisation who are looking for a new member to lead the onsite finance department. With a strong foundation, a commitment to innovation, and a focus on delivering long-term value to customers and partners, the business is entering an exciting phase of expansion. Due to this growth, they are seeking a Senior Financial Controller to join the business in a newly created position.
We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Senior Financial Controller to support the Chief Finance Officer and play a key role in shaping the financial direction of the business. This position will oversee core financial operations, lead finance-related projects, and provide critical insights to support executive decision-making. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with commercial awareness and leadership capability.Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Reporting
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and statutory financial reports in line with agreed timelines.
• Oversee daily finance operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Consolidate financial data across multiple entities for board-level reporting and audits.
• Manage cash flow and ensure regulatory compliance in bank reconciliations.
• Monitor aged debt and oversee the management of segregated accounts.
Revenue Oversight
• Collaborate with the MI team to ensure accurate revenue tracking across diverse product lines.
• Supervise claim float management.
• Ensure payment systems are compliant and efficient.
Project Leadership
• Lead finance-driven projects, from concept through to implementation, including defining KPIs and performance metrics.
• Manage cross-functional initiatives, including vendor selection, budgeting, and testing.
• Provide financial insights to support strategic business development.
Essential Skills & Experience
• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in industry or practice, ideally within a regulated financial services environment.
• Strong understanding of balance sheet management and statutory reporting.
• Experience managing high-volume financial transactions and complex revenue streams.
• Proven ability to lead projects in an agile environment.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with Sage or similar accounting software.
• Experience in financial modelling and data analysis.
