I am working with an up-and-coming project management consultancy based in Ilford, who are searching for a highly confident and intelligent Project Manager to join their supportive team and run the full lifecycle of projects in the Retail, Residential, Healthcare and Veterinary sector.

The Company that the Project Manager will join:

The Project Manager will be joining a modern consultancy that have a strong pipeline of projects in the Retail, Residential, Veterinary, Healthcare sectors. The Project Manager will be working alongside a growing team 15 consultants including Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Associate Directors and Directors.

The Project Manager role:

The Project Manager will be confident at leading complex new build, cat a/b fit out or alteration schemes through pre and post contract stages and offers good knowledge at utilising the JCT or NEC Contract. The Project Manager will be collaborating with the Quantity Surveyors appointed to the same projects throughout all stages of the lifecycle to ensure that costs are being controlled.

The Project Manager will be delivering high-quality schemes with contract values between £150k-£15m.

You will be responsible for:

• Collaborating with whole Project Management team to drive schemes forward to completion
• Communicating with external parties such as contractors and sub-contractors
• Provide support/mentorship to junior Project Managers
• Reporting progress feedback on Projects to the Senior Directors weekly
• Collaborating with Quantity Surveyors during all phases of project lifecycles
• Reviewing costs with Cost Consultants regularly to ensure Schemes are within Budget constraints
• Attending weekly site visits
• Arranging and attending client meetings
• Ensure all works are compliant with safety and quality standards

Project Manager requirements:

• Experience working for a UK based construction consultancy
• Exposure to delivering projects in Retail, Healthcare, Veterinary or Residential sector
• MRICS or MAPM Chartered is preferred
• BSc/MSc Construction Project Management
• Capable of managing Schemes simultaneously
• Able to commute to Ilford
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
