Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Prestwich Primary School 🌟
Start Date: September 2025 | Contract: Full Time / Term Time Only | Salary: Dependent on Experience

We are looking for a committed and compassionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our friendly and inclusive primary school in Prestwich. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our pupils - particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

As an HLTA, you will work closely with teachers and the SENCO to deliver high-quality support across the school, including delivering interventions, leading whole-class sessions, and providing targeted 1:1 or small group support for children with a range of additional needs.

👩‍🏫 Key Responsibilities:

Supporting teaching and learning across all year groups, with a particular focus on SEN provision

Planning and delivering tailored interventions and activities

Leading lessons in the absence of the class teacher

Working collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals

Promoting inclusion and ensuring every child is supported to achieve their potential

✅ We're Looking For Someone Who:

Holds HLTA status or is working towards qualification (essential)

Has experience supporting children with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and social/emotional needs

Is adaptable, patient, and passionate about inclusive education

Has excellent communication and organisational skills

Is a positive role model with a nurturing and proactive attitude
