Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MIG/TIG Welder to join our clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal components using MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding techniques. This role requires precision, a strong understanding of welding processes, and the ability to work from technical drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of metals including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols

Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and cleaning surfaces before welding

Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications

Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition

Follow all health and safety regulations and company procedures

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently

Carry out repairs and modifications to existing metal structures

Requirements

Proven experience as a MIG/TIG Welder or similar role

Strong knowledge of welding techniques and equipment

Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications

Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail

Familiarity with health and safety standards in a workshop or industrial environment

Relevant welding certifications (preferred but not essential)

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable Skills

Experience with fabrication and metal finishing

Knowledge of additional welding methods (e.g., ARC, MMA)

Basic mechanical or engineering understanding

Problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude

Working Conditions

Workshop or industrial environment

May require standing for long periods and lifting heavy materials

Use of protective equipment such as welding helmets, gloves, and safety boots
