Hydraquip are the UK’s largest independent onsite hose replacement company, offering a 24/7 365-day service nationwide. We have been established for over 30 years and have ambitious plans for further growth in the coming years. Currently, we operate approximately 150 service vans and have committed to an investment of £2m in 2023 to commission 50 new mobile service vans, upgrading our existing fleet and adding additional vehicles. Operated by experienced and dedicated hydraulic engineers, we are proud of our success rate of over 99% of first-time repairs on site. Hydraquip have market leading technology to support our team including our customer portal which allows customers to book and track their hydraulic hose replacement and services, with real time job status updates.

To support our growth plans, we are planning to recruit additional members to our team in the Oxford area.

A day in the life of a Hydraquip Mobile Engineer:

Whilst no two days are the same, you can expect to start your day ensuring your Hydraquip vehicle safety checks has been completed and ready for a busy day ahead. You can head straight to your working area if no pre planned jobs are booked. You will be ready to respond to our customers’ requirements, enabling us to attend with a quick response and get their breakdown request completed with a minimal amount of downtime. Our customers will be able to use our Hydraquip Job Manager App to track the progress of their job, so they’re always kept updated. When you arrive on site, you will demonstrate your unbeatable industry knowledge and skills whilst working to find the best solution for our customer, always maintaining our highest levels of service. You can expect to be regularly liaising with existing Hydraquip customers and identifying potential new business.

You will also:

  • Report job processes through the company Hydraquip app via your company phone and update customer orders.
  • Maintain and stock your company van from using the Hydraquip app, ensuring that your vehicle is always well stocked and ensure the van is kept in a clean presentable manner.
  • You will be expected to be part of an on-call rota (usually one week in three) with stand by cover paid, which will require work onsite at nights and weekends if needed. This will be rewarded by overtime pay based on working hours worked per call out. Basic working hours for this role are Monday - Friday 8am – 5:30pm.

Who we are looking for:

  • Previous experience working in the Hose Replacement Industry is an advantage but NOT essential as we are seeking engineers with following background Forklift/Plant fitter, HGV fitter, or Agricultural Fitter, access hire (Hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge are an advantage)
  • You must hold a UK Driving Licence, ideally for a minimum of 2 years.
  • You will be a self-motivated person, who is punctual and reliable and takes pride in always delivering the highest levels of service.
