CNC Field Service Engineer

Our client is one of the UK's leading machine suppliers based in Buckinghamshire, supporting a network of over 5,000 installed machines across the UK and Ireland. Their product range has a strong focus on innovation, performance and customer service
Working within an established team you will play a pivotal role in covering the Midlands area carrying out Installations servicing, maintenance and repair work on our client's large portfolio of CNC Machines. The ideal candidate will have a background in the machine tooling industry.
What's involved for the CNC Field Service Engineer…
- Installation, maintenance, and repair of 3- and 5-axis machining centres
- Installation, maintenance, and repair of 2-, 3-, 4-, and 5-axis lathes
- Fitting and configuration of machine tool options such as Renishaw probing systems, rotary tables, and through-spindle coolant systems
- Provide technical support for automation systems
- Work independently or collaboratively with other engineers as required
- Maintain professional communication and working relationships with customers
- Submit detailed service reports and upload daily work records to the central database
- Maintain service vehicle stock and company-provided tools
- Travel regularly throughout the UK and Southern Ireland may be required
What you'll need…
- Prior experience in the machine tool industry preferred
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
- Willingness to travel and stay overnight as required (minimal)
- Able to work independently and represent the company professionally on customer sites
- Full clean UK driving licence

This is a Full time, permanent CNC Field Service Engineer role, working Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week
