We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Residential Team Leader to oversee daily operations within our residential care facility. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting children and young people, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of care workers, ensuring the delivery of personalised care plans tailored to each child's needs
  • Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for children and young people in residence
  • Coordinate daily activities, routines, and behavioural management strategies
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided, behaviour reports, and progress notes in compliance with organisational policies
  • Support children with their emotional, social, and educational development
  • Liaise effectively with families, social workers, educational professionals, and external agencies
  • Ensure all health and safety protocols are adhered to within the residential setting
  • Assist with organising training sessions and ongoing professional development for team members
  • Drive organisational initiatives aimed at improving service quality and compliance standards

Skills

  • Proven experience working with children in a care or childcare setting
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to individual needs
  • Competent in using IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes
  • Valid driving license with the ability to drive as required for organisational duties
  • Empathy, patience, and resilience when working with vulnerable children and young people
  • Organised approach to managing multiple responsibilities efficiently
