This site includes a high-throughput processing facility and abattoir, and is embarking on a major sustainability initiative—including the implementation of a new wastewater treatment plant. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of environmental performance and drive meaningful change.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure full compliance with environmental legislation, permits, and company standards

Monitor and report on emissions, effluent, waste, and energy usage

*

Lead the implementation and ongoing management of a new wastewater treatment facility

*

Support site teams with environmental training, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives

*

Liaise with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders to maintain transparency and accountability

*

Contribute to the development of sustainability strategies, including waste reduction and resource efficiency

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience in an Environmental Officer or similar role within food manufacturing, agriculture, or FMCG

*

Strong working knowledge of environmental regulations and ISO14001

*

Experience with wastewater treatment systems (design, commissioning, or operational oversight)

*

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

*

Proactive mindset with a passion for sustainability and innovation
