Apprenticeship title: Higher Apprentice Training to be provided Foundation Degree in Mineral Products Technology at University of Derby SHE NVQ Level 4 Ignite Management Programme Further Details Working Week Paid hours per week: 40 Wage: £ Expected duration 3 Years Vacancy description Aggregate Industries Higher Apprenticeship offers numerous structured development paths in one of the following areas:, Aggregates, Asphalt, Cement and Ready Mix ; During the Apprenticeship you will complete a Foundation Degree in Mineral Products Technology at the University of Derby, but the learning doesn’t stop there.
Throughout the apprenticeship you are given the opportunity to attend various courses organised by the Company’s central Learning and Development Team.
Whilst on site you will be given a tailored training plan to work through and are supported by both your allocated Mentor and your Manager.
On a day to day basis you will be given greater exposure to your division and the roles of your team members.
Our overarching Company value is Health and Safety and to assist you in understanding the underlying concepts of this value, we require our apprentices to complete an NVQ Level 4 in Health, Safety and Environment.

We currently have around 150 apprentices and graduates, working towards their ultimate career goals and achieving great success.
It is required that you hold a full UK driving licence for this role.
Job duties: Your role will be to support the company in achieving its Safety and Financial goals by providing the following Product Conformity: Manage the undertaking of a sampling & testing service that provides data and analysis for the efficient production of compliant, fit for purpose products at the optimum manufactured cost.
This shall include Product sampling & testing Mix optimisation Mix design maintenance Trend/CUSUM analysis Blend control and optimisation Sales Support: Deliver technical information, advice and support to operational, commercial staff and customers in pursuit of quality and sales targets and customer loyalty.
This shall include: Provision of technical data Provision of samples Contract review Customer contract advice/support CE marking Customer quality complaint support Performance Management: Monitor, measure, manage and report on product quality KPI’s, system performance optimisation, safety, welfare and development of our staff.
This shall include Report writing Meeting attendance Visible felt leadership in Health & Safety Staff training and coaching Self development Internal quality management audits.

Future prospects After completion of the 3 year Higher Apprenticeship, there are a number of further education options you may choose to pursue including: Optional progression to the BSc Honours Degree in Mineral Management.
