We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our growing finance team based in Liverpool City Centre. This is a hybrid role offering flexibility to work from home two days per week.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid transactional finance experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Ledger

  • Raising and processing sales invoices
  • Allocating customer payments
  • Managing aged debt reports
  • Credit control and resolving invoice queries

Purchase Ledger

  • Processing high volumes of supplier invoices
  • Statement reconciliations
  • Preparing payment runs
  • Liaising with suppliers to resolve discrepancies

Bank Reconciliations

  • Daily and monthly bank reconciliations
  • Investigating and resolving variances
  • Assisting with month-end processes

About You

  • Previous experience in a similar Accounts Assistant role
  • Strong knowledge of sales and purchase ledger processes
  • Experience completing bank reconciliations
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Confident using accounting software and Excel
  • AAT studier (desirable but not essential)
