Are you passionate about making a difference in a child’s educational journey? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil in Year 4 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Reed education are working in partnership with a fantastic school based in Peterborough, we are looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching assistant to join their team from September.
About the Role: This rewarding position involves working closely with a pupil throughout the school day to:
- Support learning across the curriculum, particularly in reading and writing
- Help the pupil stay focused and on task
- Provide behavioural support both in and out of the classroom
- Deliver 1:1 sessions in the sensory room during times of emotional or sensory overwhelm
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have: - Experience working in KS1 or KS2
- A strong understanding of SEN, particularly ASD
- Excellent behavioural management skills
- A solid grasp of the UK primary curriculum
- A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach
Requirements: - A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
- A UK address and the right to work in the UK
