OverviewReed is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established logistics company based in Redditch for a Logistics Operations Coordinator. This is a pivotal role within the night team, responsible for overseeing the tracking of shipments and ensuring seamless communication with clients during out-of-hours operations.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a keen eye for detail, and can remain composed under pressure. You’ll be joining a small, committed night team where your contribution will directly impact service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and track shipments from dispatch to delivery
- Provide timely and accurate updates to customers and stakeholders
- Maintain clear and professional communication across internal and external teams
- Ensure full visibility and control of all active consignments
- Respond swiftly to urgent issues such as potential line stoppages or priority deliveries
- Collaborate effectively with a small night-shift team (1–2 colleagues)
Ideal Candidate Profile
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Exceptionally organised and able to manage multiple tasks under pressure
- A confident communicator, both written and verbal
- Customer-focused with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
- Detail-driven with a commitment to accuracy
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently during night hours
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in logistics, transport, or supply chain (UK, EU, or international)
- Familiarity with high-pressure operational environments
- Proven ability to manage night-shift responsibilities independently
Working Hours
- Core Schedule: Friday to Monday nights, 19:00 – 07:00 (44 hours/week, 1-hour unpaid break per night)
- Training Period: 6–8 weeks of daytime training (Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week).
