Senior Accounts Payable Clerk

Elevation Recruitment Group are really excited to be supporting a reputable organsation based in the Sheffield area as they look to expand their busy finance function further, with the recruitment of a knowledgeable, driven Senior Accounts Payable Clerk.

The successful candidate will be working as part of a friendly, supportive team to take on the full responsibility of the accounts payable process from start to finish, whilst providing additional support across the team as required.

Our client is looking for someone with at least 5 years experience working within a fast paced finance function, who is able to work efficiently towards strict targets/deadlines.

Duties of the Senior Accounts Payable Clerk will include, but are not limited to:

*Checking and processing a high volume of invoices daily
*Matching, batching and coding of invoices
*Handling & resolving complex queries within a timely manner
*Preparing and processing the payment runs
*Bank reconciliations
*Liaising with suppliers
*Managing the invoice email inbox
*Expenses & petty cash management
*Supporting with month end preparation
*Producing reports as requested by senior management
*Providing additional support to the wider team
*Supporting & training Accounts Assistants on AP process

Person specification:

*At least 5 years worth of experience within a busy finance function
*Proven experience of running the accounts payable process start to finish
*Excellent organisation skills
*Ability to communicate with individuals at varying levels (internal/external)
*Ability to work well towards strict deadlines
*Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel
