Assistant Accountant - 6-Month FTC
Rate: £250-£350 per day (inside IR35)
Location: Hybrid (3 days in Luton office)
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Working within Group Financial Control, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting and insights around operational costs.

Key Responsibilities:

Support month-end close processes, including preparing journals and reconciliations
Assist with invoice checks, analysis, and stakeholder communications
Contribute to the DOC Automation Project and other process improvements
Ensure compliance with accounting standards across all postings
Partner with finance teams to support budgeting, audit, and reporting cycles
Identify risks, opportunities, and propose control/process enhancements

Requirements:

Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
Ability to explain financial matters clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong time management
Intermediate to advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
Solid academic background and experience in a finance/accounting environment
