About the Role:

Are you a hands-on leader with a background in the trades and a passion for delivering first-time-fix repair services? We're looking for a Repairs Supervisor to join a high-performing property maintenance team responsible for maintaining and improving homes within a social housing portfolio.

You'll take ownership of day-to-day repairs and maintenance, leading a team of skilled operatives ( 12-15) to deliver high-quality, customer-focused responsive repairs. This is an exciting opportunity to make a genuine difference to residents' lives by ensuring their homes are safe, comfortable, and well-maintained.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead and motivate a team of trade operatives across multiple disciplines (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, electrical, plastering).
  • Oversee the delivery of responsive and void repairs, ensuring quality workmanship and timely completion.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, ensuring SLAs and compliance standards are consistently met.
  • Manage day-to-day scheduling, materials, and workforce planning to maintain strong productivity and high standards.
  • Carry out regular quality checks, toolbox talks, and health & safety audits across your patch.
  • Work collaboratively with residents, housing officers, and customer service teams to ensure repairs are completed with minimal disruption.
  • Use data and feedback to identify service improvements and enhance the resident experience.

What We're Looking For:

  • A proven background in responsive repairs or trade supervision within a social housing environment.
  • Experience managing direct labour teams and/or contractors to deliver multi-trade services.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to drive a high-performance culture focused on safety, quality, and customer care.
  • Excellent knowledge of health & safety regulations and repair compliance standards.
  • Confident with IT systems and repair scheduling tools (e.g., PDA, job management platforms).
  • A practical trade background (e.g. carpentry, plumbing,
  • Qualifications -NVQ Level 3 in a relevant trade or equivalent supervisory qualification.
  • Health & Safety certification (e.g. SMSTS, SSSTS, or similar).
  • Full UK driving licence (essential).
