Management AccountantFTC (9–12 Months) Colchester (Hybrid: 2 days office / 3 days home) Up to £40,000 Immediate Start RequiredWe’re working with a well-established organisation to recruit a Management Accountant on an initial 9-month maternity cover contract, with a strong possibility of extension to 12 months.This is a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified or QBE accountant to join a supportive finance team and take ownership of monthly reporting while partnering with key stakeholders across the business.Responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts including accruals, prepayments, and journals
• Deliver variance analysis and insightful commentary on performance
• Support budgeting and forecasting cycles
• Partner with operational teams to improve financial understanding
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with audit preparation and ad hoc financial reporting

Skills & qualifications

• Part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience
• Strong Excel skills (essential – this role is data-heavy)
• Confident communicator with the ability to work with non-finance stakeholders
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Able to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment
