Teaching Personnel are working closely with a Darwen based SEN School which caters for pupils who have additional needs including; SEMH Difficulties, Autism, ADHD, ODD and attachment disorder. Many of the pupils in this school have additional needs and more often that not, do display challenging behaviours! The school is smaller than average and caters specifically for pupils who can no longer remain in mainstream education, therefore, candidates must be resilient and have strong behaviour management skills.
The role will be full time, starting after the October half term and many of the pupils will require 1:1 support as they struggle to engage in the curriculum.
The school hours are 8.30am - 3.30pm Monday - Friday and candidates must be available to work these hours in order to be considered for the role!
The candidate applying for this role must have a background in working with children who have SEN and / or challenging behaviours, the candidate must be seeking a long term role in a forward thinking provision as the role is likely to continue for the rest of the academic year.
The school are ideally seeking candidates with a background in working with pupils who can display challenging behaviours and ideally, the candidate must have experience working in a school setting.
The pay for this role is negotiable based upon experience, somewhere between £65 - 75 per day!
