Cost Manager - Leeds (Full-Time, Office-Based)

Our client is a well-established, independent consultancy based in Leeds, providing Quantity Surveying, Employer's Agent, and Project Management services to both public and private sector clients nationwide. With a strong track record across a range of sectors, they support clients through every stage of the project lifecycle - from early cost planning through to contract completion and handover.

The Role
Our client is currently seeking a capable and proactive Cost Manager to join their growing Leeds team. This is a full-time, office-based position offering exposure to a wide variety of projects and the opportunity to work directly with senior colleagues, clients, and contractor teams.

Key responsibilities include:

Preparing feasibility studies and cost estimates

*

Assisting with procurement processes and contract preparation

*

Administering building contracts and managing variations

*

Reviewing interim valuations and assisting with final accounts

*

Producing cost reports and maintaining accurate financial tracking

*

Supporting client and contractor communications throughout the project lifecycle

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:

*

A degree in Quantity Surveying or similar

*

Experience working in a consultancy or client-side cost management role

*

Familiarity with administering building contracts (e.g. JCT, NEC)

*

Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills

*

A proactive approach to problem solving and team collaboration

*

Progress toward RICS chartership (or similar professional qualification) is beneficial but not essential
