Children's Social Worker - Safeguarding
Location: Peterborough
Pay Rate: £37.00 per hour

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Children's Social Worker to join the Safeguarding team at Peterborough City Council.

About the Role

This is a frontline safeguarding role where you will work with children and families to ensure their safety and wellbeing. You will carry out assessments, manage child protection cases, and work closely with partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage a caseload of children involved in safeguarding and child protection plans

* Complete assessments and reports within set timescales

* Attend court proceedings when required

* Work collaboratively with families and multi-agency professionals

* Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain accurate records

Requirements

* Qualified Social Worker with relevant professional registration

* Experience in children's safeguarding

* Strong assessment and report writing skills

* Ability to manage a fast-paced caseload
