Consistent daytime hours and overtime Secure, permanent employment Well established and growing businessOpportunity to break into the Rail Industry Ongoing Training Opportunities / Career ProgressionSalary: £37,000 - £40,000Hours: 36 hours (Basic)Start: ASAPContract: Permanent Client Summary: A leading name with Rail Freight Haulage SectorPosition Summary: Welder with Team Leader / supervisory experience - wishing to take the next step within their career and move into a welding co-ordinator role.Duties include: * Working with various materials and processes (MIG / TIG / MMA)* Heavy fabrication and weld repair and overhaul work* Working from WPS Documentation * Working from engineering drawings * Maintain a register of welder qualifications and ensure ongoing compliance with BS EN ISO 9606 standards.* Organise periodic competence assessments and practical welding tests.* Arrange requalification testing for welders performing welds on cast steel components per maintenance intervals.Requirements: * Ideally completed an apprenticeship in welding, sheet metal work, fabrication, or a similar discipline * Strong fabrication and welding background * Experience in Rail (Desired) * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings * Flexibility to work overtime when required * Experience in understanding and working from a WPS
