What we are looking for:
A dynamic and enthusiastic Officer to join our fast-paced Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DOLs) team. You will be part of a dedicated team responsible for the effective administration and co-ordination of the processes and systems that support the Council's objectives as outlined in the Mental Capacity Act and the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
Responsibilities:
Supporting key statutory social care processes and the management of complex data for statutory returns. The successful candidate will also be responsible for:
- Providing a responsive first-line service to effectively respond to queries by service users and their family members/advocates, care/nursing homes, hospitals and other professionals.
- The processing and recording of all stages of DoLS authorisations in line with DoLS legislation.
- Managing the allocation of Best Interest assessors, Doctors and Relevant Persons Representatives.

- Flexible and able to prioritise and manage time effectively
- Forward thinker who will actively contribute to the introduction of new ideas and solutions
- Ability to build strong working relationships with a wide variety of professionals within the borough and other organisations.
