Systems Contractors Inc, Greensboro NC. We are a commercial and industrial HVAC contractor offering end to end service for our customers from the design to completion. Specializing in solutions for commercial and industrial facilities, Ductwork/ Metal Fabrication, Piping, Service, Custom Air Handling Units and Building Automation Systems.

We are currently looking for a Controls / Building Automation Sales Executive to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a BAS Technician, Project Engineer or Estimator to move into Building Automation Sales. The Controls Account Executive will need to demonstrate and maintain success selling Building Automation Systems, cold calling and working with existing customers. You'll compliment this growing Team, utilizing effective lead generation techniques, as well as selling to and providing support for existing accounts.

Pay Scale: Depending on Experience + incentive program & Benefits

Location: Local in Greensboro NC. Not remote

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and close commercial HVAC/Building Automation projects and associated service opportunities with existing and new customers in various vertical markets
  • Meet directly with customers to establish needs and drive the overall sales process
  • Work with Operations personnel to execute growth, development, sales and marketing of all building automation solutions offered by company
  • Create market awareness for company through networking, cold calling, presentations, and attendance at local trade association meetings
  • Work strategically on targeted owner direct and new construction projects with electrical engineers and general contractors
  • Take a leadership role with select product partners in support of their business development activity
  • Craft and submit professional written proposals within established deadlines
  • Expertise in selling Integrated Building Automation Systems
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills


  • Pass background check & drug screen
  • Valid driver's license & insurable driving record
  • 3 + years of Building Automation, HVAC Sales, Estimating, BAS Technician, or combination of experience and education
  • Must be self-motivated to achieve sales goals and objectives
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft office experience Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe
  • Contract management experience
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Exceptional attention to detail
