Class 1 (Category C) Driver - Temp to Perm OpportunityWe are currently recruiting an experienced Class 1 (Category CE) Driver on a temporary to permanent basis to join our team based at our Preston depot, covering local deliveries.
Pay & Benefits:- £16.09ph
- Min 9 hours
- £50 per week bonus
- Overtime paid after 50 hours
- 20 days holiday per annum + Bank Holidays
- Saturday mornings required on a rota basis (1 in 10)
Role Details- Depot location: Preston
- Typical delivery area: FY postcode
- Local, planned Class 1 deliveries
- Full training provided
- Immediate start required
Key Duties- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Safe and compliant operation of a Class 1 vehicle
- Completing deliveries in a timely and professional manner
- Ensuring loads are checked, secure, and delivered safely
- Completing all required paperwork accurately
- Maintaining a high standard of customer service
- Adhering to driver hours, tachograph, and road transport legislation
Requirements- Valid Category CE (Class 1) licence
- Minimum of 2 years Class 1 driving experience
- Over 25 years of age (for insurance purposes)
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Good knowledge of UK road transport regulations
- Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious approach
