  • Has high expectations of all children and is committed to helping them achieve their full potential.
  • Has proven experience supporting children across the primary age range and confidently delivering high-quality cover for teaching staff.
  • Is a flexible and supportive team player, able to build strong relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities

As a HLTA, you will:

  • Deliver planned lessons to whole classes in the absence of the teacher.
  • Support the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities across the curriculum.
  • Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups to help close learning gaps.
  • Assist in the assessment and tracking of pupil progress.
  • Contribute to the development of classroom resources and displays.
  • Support the wider school community through participation in events, clubs, and enrichment activities.
