Role: Finance ManagerLocation: Essex (Upminster)Contract: 9-12 month FTCThe Finance Manager will support the Group Financial Controller in overseeing day-to-day finance operations, managing one direct report, and taking ownership of the full AP/AR cycle. You will also play a key role in post-acquisition integration, process improvement, and building a scalable finance function that can support continued growth.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Operations & Controls

• Take full ownership of month end reporting
• Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Ensure timely processing, reconciliations, and resolution of queries
• Strengthen financial controls and maintain high-quality financial data

Financial Reporting & Month-End

• Support the Group Financial Controller with month-end close and management accounts
• Assist with consolidated reporting and analysis
• Drive improvements across reporting, processes, and systems

Post-Acquisition Integration

• Play a key role in post-integration activity for newly acquired businesses, supporting the Group Financial Controller
• Embed consistent processes, controls, and reporting frameworks
• Work closely with operational and acquisition teams to ensure smooth onboarding

Business Support & Continuous Improvement

• Provide analysis and insight to support decision-making
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance financial visibility
• Contribute to building a scalable finance function aligned with PE expectations

Skills & Experience Required

• Experience managing and developing a team (even small teams)
• Strong background in finance operations, including AP/AR ownership
• Experience in a services environment or similar (preferred)
• Strong understanding of financial controls and process improvement
• Part or Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or simmilar)
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
