Primary School in Cardiff - Teacher Maternity Cover

Position: Maternity Cover Year 2 Primary Teacher

Start Date: 8th January 2024

Duration: Until December 2024

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to join our a lovely Primary School in Cardiff as a Maternity Cover Teacher starting in January 2024.

Job Responsibilities:

Take on the full classroom role, delivering engaging and effective lessons to students.
Create comprehensive lesson plans aligned with the national curriculum.
Assess and mark students' work, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
Attend and actively participate in parents' evening, discussing students' progress and areas of growth.
Collaborate with the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to support students with additional needs.
Engage in staff meetings and professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service
Experience teaching in a primary school setting, preferably with Year 2 students
Excellent knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Committed to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs.
Registered with Education Workforce Council.
Salary and Contract Details:

Minimum salary of £157.66 per day (can be negotiated depending on level)
Full-time position
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm
