Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a compassionate and resilient Mental Health Teaching Assistant to work within a nurturing school setting in Corby.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils who require additional emotional, social and mental health (SEMH) support to thrive both academically and personally.

The Role:

Providing 1:1 and small group support for students with mental health and SEMH needs

Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and wellbeing strategies

Working closely with the SENCO, pastoral team and external professionals

Helping to create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment

Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning

The Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs

A calm, patient and empathetic approach

Strong communication and de-escalation skills

A background in psychology, counselling, youth work or support work (desirable)

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
