A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Reservations Manager to lead reservations operations across two of Edinburgh’s most iconic hotels: Kimpton Charlotte Square and InterContinental Edinburgh The George.
We’re looking for a commercially minded, detail‑driven, and people‑focused reservations leader who can deliver exceptional guest service, maximise revenue opportunities, and ensure reservations systems and inventory are optimised across both properties.
We are offering a salary of £33,500.00, plus a potential earning of a 20% bonus based on performance!

The Reservations Manager is responsible for leading and supporting the reservations function across both hotels, ensuring a consistent, high‑quality guest journey while driving commercial performance.
This role plays a critical part in the wider Commercial and Sales strategy, ensuring that reservations systems, inventory, and distribution channels are accurately maintained and fully optimised to support revenue targets.
You will lead by example, developing the reservations team while providing accurate reporting, data analysis, and insights to inform commercial decision‑making.
Your Key responsibilities will be:
Lead and support the in‑house reservations team, ensuring daily and weekly tasks are completed accurately and on time while maintaining departmental standards
Actively manage individual reservations, ensuring accuracy, attention to detail and maximised occupancy
Ensure all reservations systems, including Opera, Concerto (CRS), Delphi and OTA extranets, are consistently updated and balanced
Take ownership of rate loading, rate maintenance and agreement information across PMS and CRS
Support inventory management, balancing rooms across all systems to maximise available sellable inventory
Produce accurate daily, weekly, monthly and ad‑hoc reservations reports
Analyse reservations data including direct bookings, cancellations, no‑shows, upsell performance, booking lead time and group materialisation & share insights and recommendations with Commercial Managers, Portfolio Revenue Manager, DOS and Sales teams to drive performance
Support group pricing updates, upsell reporting and revenue analysis
Work closely with the Assistant Groups & Events Manager and wider Sales team to ensure group blocks, inventory and information are accurate across all systems
Maximise efficiency and brand representation through off‑site services (e.g. IHG Voice)
Monitor performance against SLAs, resolve issues and ensure alignment with selling strategy and guest journey expectations
To succeed as our Reservations Manager, you will need:
Proven experience in hotel reservations, delivering exceptional guest experiences and in leading teams
Strong Revenue or Commercial exposure
Strong knowledge of reservations systems and tools, including Opera, Concerto, Delphi and OTAs
Confident managing inventory, rates and distribution channels across multiple systems
To be highly organised, analytical, detail‑oriented and a confident & effective communicator
To be a collaborative leader who builds pride, ownership and consistency within the team
Passion for True Hospitality and acting as a brand ambassador for InterContinental and Kimpton
