Are you a motivated Quantity Surveyor looking to progress your career in the power sector? A reputable contractor is seeking a capable Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team, working on a portfolio of high-value data centre and substation projects ranging from £30-£70 million. This hybrid role is based out of the company's Barking office, with a 3/2 split between office and remote work.

About the role of Quantity Surveyor

As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be supporting the commercial management of complex infrastructure projects in the energy sector. Working closely with project and senior commercial leads, you'll assist with the day-to-day financial administration of works under both NEC and JCT contracts. This is a great opportunity to develop your expertise on technically challenging schemes in a fast-growing sector.

Responsibilities for Quantity Surveyor

Assist in the preparation and management of project budgets and forecasts
Support the administration of NEC and JCT contracts
Work on valuations, variations, payments, and cost reporting
Liaise with site teams, clients, and subcontractors
Contribute to risk management and value engineering effortsRequirements for Quantity Surveyor

Experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, preferably within the power, infrastructure, or data centre sectors
Good working knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts
Ability to manage multiple tasks and support larger project teams
Strong analytical and communication skills
