A vacancy has arisen for the role of Production Manager/Trainee Production Manager within a Farming Operation. Based at Newbridge, Edinburgh, and reporting to the Head of Operations, the successful candidate will have responsibility for the management and reporting on both our Company and Contract Farms across Scotland and the North of England. As a key member of our Production Management Team, this role will need you to drive forward excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

 Regular visits to our Company and Contract Farms across our farm production base providing support and managing engagement.

 Work alongside the Farm Team to deliver and maintain the highest levels of biosecurity, ensuring our bird health and welfare needs are met and championed.

 Providing data with analysis and feedback, identifying areas of opportunity across the production base.

 Using your production experience and skill to diagnose and solve problems, ensuring our birds achieve their genetic potential.

 Clearly communicating with colleagues and allowing the seamless movement of high-quality fertile hatching eggs throughout the supply chain.

 Identifying efficiencies, writing business cases and securing capital investment to implement strategies. In addition, we are looking to find someone who:

 Has a solid background of animal husbandry working with breeding stock in both rearing and production phases.

 Is motivated and inquisitive with a passion for what they do each day.

 Has the adaptability to work alone using their own initiative and can pivot to working with, and influencing a team.

 Has great communicational skills that are adaptable to one on one and group settings.

 Can deliver great data management and clear presentation production skills on Microsoft Office
