Our client, a reputable freight forwarder, is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable individual to join their growing team.About the Role:As a Customs Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and compliant movement of goods across international borders. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of customs regulations, tariffs, and declarations.Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing and submitting accurate customs declarations for imports and exports.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant customs legislation and procedures.
• Calculating and processing duties, taxes, and other applicable charges.
• Liaising with customs authorities, clients, and internal departments.
• Providing expert advice on customs-related matters.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of changes in customs regulations.
• Resolving customs queries and issues efficiently.

About You:

• Proven experience as a Customs Specialist within a freight forwarding or logistics environment.
• In-depth knowledge of customs procedures, tariffs, and relevant legislation (e.g., HMRC regulations).
• Proficient in customs declaration software.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Problem-solving aptitude.
