Responsibilities:

Provide housing-related support to individuals and families experiencing homelessness, those at risk of homelessness, or individuals transitioning from institutional settings.
Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' housing needs and develop individualized support plans.
Assist clients in securing suitable accommodation by liaising with housing providers and local authorities.
Offer guidance on budgeting, tenancy agreements, and accessing welfare benefits to promote housing sustainability.
Provide emotional support and practical advice to clients facing complex challenges, such as mental health issues, substance abuse, or domestic violence.
Collaborate with partner agencies, including local authorities, health services, and support organizations, to coordinate a holistic support network for clients.
Regularly review and update support plans to ensure they reflect clients' changing needs and goals.
Facilitate workshops and training sessions on relevant topics, such as independent living skills and housing rights.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and progress using our internal systems.
Drive clients to appointments, viewings, and other housing-related activities as required.
Requirements:

Previous experience in a housing support or related role is preferred.
A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are essential due to the nature of the role.
A current and satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is mandatory.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach when working with clients facing challenging circumstances.
Excellent organizational skills to manage a caseload effectively and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of housing legislation, welfare benefits, and local support services is advantageous.
IT proficiency, including the ability to use databases and record-keeping systems.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work collaboratively within a team.
Also, will be required to go through an enhanced DBS check
