There is no written test and no test date is involved. The supplemental questionnaire IS YOUR TEST. Your completed supplemental questionnaire will be the only basis for rating your training, education, and experience. Failure to complete the supplemental questionnaire may result in disqualification. If disqualified, candidates must wait six months to re-apply.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Candidates must have a reachable score on the Plant Utilities Engineer 1 list OR

+ Be a current NYS employee and have a current permanent appointment with 1 year of service as a Plant Utilities Engineer 1, or in a title eligible to transfer to Plant Utilities Engineer 1 OR

+ Appointment as Plant Utilities Engineer 1 at UAlbany with less than 1 year of service (remainder of probationary period to be completed in new assignment) OR

+ Be a former NYS employee eligible for reinstatement to the title of Plant Utilities Engineer 1

Operating Needs:

+ Valid NYS Driver's License required

+ Candidates are expected to be qualified to use negative pressure respirators
