Site Manager (Electrical Bias) - Contract | Aberdeen | 20th April - 6th November

The Company

Green Frog Connect is driving the UK's transition to a zero-carbon electricity grid.

As an accredited Independent Connection Provider (ICP), we design and build high-voltage electricity networks up to 132kV. We also act as Balance of Plant (BoP) and EPC contractor for renewable generation and energy storage projects ranging from 5-100MW.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced Site Manager with a strong electrical bias to oversee delivery on a major energy infrastructure project in Aberdeen.

This is a hands-on, site-focused role — ideal for someone who thrives on being present, coordinating works, and ensuring safe, efficient delivery. The wider project management function is already in place, so your focus will be on day-to-day execution, site coordination, and quality of delivery, particularly across HV electrical works and associated civils.

This contract runs from 20th April to 6th November.

Key Responsibilities

* Take ownership of daily site operations, coordinating electrical and civil subcontractors

* Oversee delivery of HV electrical works (cable installation, jointing, terminations, substations, switchgear, etc.)

* Ensure safe systems of work, with full compliance to HSE, RAMS, and CDM requirements

* Act as the eyes and ears on site, proactively identifying and resolving issues before escalation

* Coordinate interfaces between electrical and civil packages (ducting, trenches, bases, etc.)

* Monitor progress against programme and provide clear, concise site updates to the project team

* Manage materials, plant, deliveries, and permits to work

* Lead inductions, toolbox talks, and site briefings

* Carry out regular site inspections, quality checks, and sign-offs

* Ensure works are delivered in line with design specifications and industry standards

* Maintain strong working relationships with clients, DNOs, ICP stakeholders, and internal teams

About You

* Strong site leadership — confident coordinating multiple trades in a live environment

* Electrically biased, with experience in HV / power / energy infrastructure projects

* Practical, solutions-focused, and comfortable being hands-on and visible on site

* Clear communicator who can manage stakeholders and subcontractors effectively

* Good understanding of interfaces between electrical and civil works

* Committed to high standards of safety, quality, and programme delivery

Qualifications & Requirements

* SMSTS - Essential

* First Aid - Essential

* Temporary Works Supervisor - Essential

* CSCS Card

* Clean UK Driving Licence

Desirable:

* Experience working on ICP, DNO, or HV connection projects (11kV-132kV)

* Familiarity with substation builds, cable routes, and grid connections

Contract Details

* Duration: 20th April - 6th November

* Engagement: Ltd company or umbrella

* Rate: Competitive day rate (DOE)
