We are seeking an ambitious Qualified Financial Accountant to join the small but growing finance team on a permanent basis in this newly created position. The successful candidate will be hard-working, enthusiastic, highly organised, ambitious, with an eye for detail. This role is ideal for someone who can hit the ground running and own the monthly reporting, annual audit and compliance aspects of the business.
In this role you will report to the Financial Controller and play an integral part in delivering finance objectives. We are a company on a big growth path, and your career will grow with us. This is a hands-on, fast-paced position requiring a strong compliance mindset as well as balancing the requirements of the business whilst continuously improving systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting:
Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts and financial analysis across six entities in three jurisdictions, including variance analysis, commentary, and board reporting.
Support month-end and year-end close process including submission of group reporting within set deadlines.
Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are clean and fully documented with appropriate evidence, reviewed on a timely basis, and any reconciling items are clearly explained and resolved promptly.
Compliance:
Maintain and enhance internal controls to ensure financial integrity and compliance with audit and regulatory standards.
Day-to-day owner of year-end audit, liaise with external auditors and ensure successful audit.
Preparation and submission of RCT, CIS and VAT return in a timely manner to Revenue and HMRC.
Preparation of Corporation Tax returns for multiple entities across Ireland, the UK and the US.
Maintain statutory filings with Companies House and CRO.
Management of day-to-day Treasury function by overseeing daily cash flow, optimising liquidity, and ensuring appropriate approval structures are in place for all payments.
Other work:
Act as a key finance lead in the implementation of a new ERP system, ensuring robust process mapping, testing, and training within the next 12 months.
Assist the Financial Controller with the overall smooth running of the finance function across payroll, AR and AP.
Assist with the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process, ensuring that changes to business assumptions and financial impacts are captured on a timely and accurate basis.
Ensure a strong working relationship between Finance and other functions based on a Business Partnership model which ensures a balance between financial control and business support
Experience & Skills
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with minimum 2 years PQE in industry.
- Strong financial reporting and compliance experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work to tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
- Hard working, flexible and a resilient team player.
