We are looking for a detail-focused Post Room Operative to join our team within a high-volume mailing house environment. You will support the fulfilment of large-scale campaigns, ensuring accurate handling, sorting, and dispatch of all mail and packages across the operation.

Key Responsibilities

Mail Management

* Sort, process, and distribute all incoming and outgoing mail, parcels, and documents

* Operate franking machines and other postal equipment

* Maintain accurate logs and records of all mail handled

Delivery Services

* Collect and deliver mail and packages to designated departments or locations

* Ensure secure, timely handling of sensitive or confidential documents

Record Keeping

* Track deliveries, returns, and dispatches

* Update digital and manual logs to ensure audit accuracy

Customer Service

* Assist staff with queries regarding mail services

* Resolve issues related to delivery or postal processes professionally

Operational Support

* Support wider fulfilment activities tied to large-scale campaign mail-outs

* Assist with general warehouse administration tasks when required

* Help maintain office supplies and contribute to smooth facilities operations

Required Skills & Qualifications

* High attention to detail to ensure accurate handling and sorting

* Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment

* Good communication skills, both written and verbal

* Technical proficiency with postal systems, franking machines, and basic computer usage

* Physical stamina, including lifting and moving packages and standing for extended periods

* Experience in a post room, warehouse, or mailing house environment is highly desirable
