We are seeking a skilled Tig Welder to join a pressure vessel specialist in the West Midlands area. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding, particularly with 6G TIG processes, and have the ability to work with pressure vessels. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality welds.

Responsibilities

* Coded welding on pipe and plate

* 2G or 6G Tig Welding position on pipe

* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing metal parts.

* Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure structural integrity and X-ray standard

* Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.

* Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high-quality output.

* Apply basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.

Experience

* 2 years' experience within the pressure vessel industry

* confident on 6G Tig welding

* coded qualifications is advantageous

* the ability to butt welds (tube to tube) and pass X-ray. DMI and MPI

The Package

* Temp to perm

* 12 week contract

* £17.50 - £18.50 per hour

* Day shift
