An established and growing specialist in bespoke electrical control solutions, this company designs, manufactures, installs and commissions custom-built control panels and systems for a wide range of industrial applications. Due to ongoing expansion, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their dedicated team.

£45000 - £50000 + Overtime, Flexi-Time, 37.5 hours

You will be responsible for the electrical design and documentation of control panels and automation systems, supporting projects from concept through to commissioning.

Electrical Design Engineer - The Role:

Designing electrical control systems and schematic drawings using CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD Electrical / EPLAN).

Producing electrical layouts, wiring diagrams, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).

Specifying electrical components including drives, PLCs, instrumentation, and safety devices.

Ensuring designs comply with relevant standards and customer specifications.

Working closely with panel builders, software engineers and project managers to deliver complete solutions.

Providing technical support during build, testing and commissioning phases.

Occasionally attending customer sites for installation and commissioning support (UK only).

Electrical Design Engineer - The Person:

Experienced in electrical design for industrial control systems or automation equipment.

Competent in the use of an electrical design package i.e. Eplan, AutoCAD Electrical, SEE-Electrical

Strong understanding of control panel layouts, wiring, and electrical standards (BS EN 60204, Machinery Directive, etc.).

Able to interpret customer specifications and translate them into practical design solutions.

Flexibility to support occasional site work as required.
