Join a leading freight forwarder based in Southampton where your coordination skills keep global trade moving.

They are seeking a detail-oriented Import Coordinator to manage international shipments from origin to destination.

Your Day-to-Day:

• Handle end-to-end import operations across sea, air, and road freight

• Liaise with overseas agents, carriers, and customs to ensure timely delivery

• Prepare and process import documentation

• Monitor shipments, update clients, and resolve delays or discrepancies

• Ensure compliance with HMRC and international trade regulations

• Maintain accurate records and update internal systems with shipment milestones

• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth handover to warehousing or final delivery

• Experience in freight forwarding or import logistics (1-3 years ideal)

• Strong knowledge of Imports and customs procedures

• Excellent communication skills and customer service mindset

• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure

• Familiarity with freight software (e.g. CargoWise, ASM, or similar)

• Must have experience with CDS

• A proactive, problem-solving attitude with a keen eye for detail
