With continued investment across operations and people, the business is now looking to strengthen its HR function with the addition of a well-rounded HR Generalist.

As HR Generalist, you will act as a key point of contact for managers and employees across the business, providing pragmatic and commercially focused HR support. This is a varied and hands-on role, requiring someone confident in managing employee relations casework while also being able to respond quickly and effectively to the day-to-day demands of a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice and guidance to managers on a range of HR matters, ensuring best practice and legal compliance
- Manage end-to-end employee relations casework including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, and performance issues
- Support managers in handling reactive HR issues, offering timely and practical solutions
- Assist with investigations, hearings, and outcomes, ensuring thorough documentation and consistency
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Support recruitment and onboarding activity as required
- Analyse HR data and trends to inform decision-making and continuous improvement
- Build strong working relationships across all levels of the business
- Support wider HR projects aligned to business growth and organisational development
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong background in employee relations and casework management
- Confident in dealing with reactive HR situations in a fast-paced setting
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Able to balance operational demands with a proactive approach to HR
- CIPD qualification (or working towards) desirable
