Our client, a rapidly growing SME, is seeking a Head of Finance to lead the finance function, implement robust processes and controls, and act as a strategic right hand to the MDs. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the financial direction of a scaling business and build a high-performing finance function from the ground up.

Key responsibilities of the Head of Finance:

• Establish and enhance financial processes, controls, and reporting frameworks.
• Act as a strategic partner and right hand to the MDs, supporting commercial and operational decision-making.
• Oversee all core finance activities including budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close.
• Provide clear financial insight and analysis to drive business performance.
• Lead on cashflow management and long-term financial planning.
• Build and develop a small finance team as the business continues to scale.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and oversee external audit.
• Drive continuous improvement and implement best practice across the finance function.

Key essentials of the Head of Finance:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
• Strong SME experience, ideally within a growing or scaling environment.
• Proven ability to build processes from the ground up.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to partner closely with senior leadership.
• Commercially minded with a hands-on approach.
