Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems across residential, commercial, and/or industrial sites.

This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning and refrigeration systems, including split units, VRV/VRF systems, chillers, cold rooms, and commercial refrigeration equipment.

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks.

Diagnose faults, troubleshoot, and implement effective solutions promptly.

*

Ensure all works comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.

*

Provide technical support and advice to clients on system performance and efficiency.

*

Accurately complete service reports, job sheets, and maintain proper records.

*

Collaborate with other engineers and contractors when required.

*

Participate in on-call rota for emergency breakdowns (if applicable).

Skills & Qualifications

*

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (or equivalent).

*

F-Gas Category 1 certification (essential).

*

Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, electrical systems, and fault-finding techniques.

*

Previous experience in installing and servicing a variety of HVAC systems.

*

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.

*

Full, clean driving license (if role requires travel).

*

Excellent communication and customer service skills.
