Cast UK are supporting a growing manufacturing operation in Walsall is seeking a hands on Production Team Leader to drive performance across safety, quality, delivery and cost. This is a front line leadership role with responsibility for leading a production team and ensuring daily targets are achieved while continuously improving standards across the shop floor

The Role

You will take ownership of a defined production area, leading daily structured meetings and ensuring clear communication of targets and objectives. Performance will be measured across SQCDP metrics, with a focus on improving quality, on time delivery and productivity trends.

Key responsibilities include

• Leading daily production activity to meet output and delivery targets
• Driving internal quality and external quality
• Ensuring delivery to promise
• Managing productivity to exceed against plan
• Investigating customer concerns and delivering structured root cause analysis within agreed service levels
• Conducting safety audits and maintaining a safe working environment
• Managing attendance, return to work reviews and performance coaching
• Driving continuous improvement activity including 5S, waste reduction and problem solving initiatives
• Validating production hours and ensuring accurate ERP system updates

The Candidate

You will be a proven team leader or supervisor from a manufacturing or engineering environment with;

• Strong experience leading teams in a fast paced production setting
• Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement
• Experience managing KPIs across quality, cost and delivery
• Confidence handling investigations, audits and performance management
• A structured and data driven approach
