Assistant Quantity Surveyor

My client is a medium sized main contractor who work on a wide range of projects: Residential, Healthcare, Education etc - ranging up to £10m.

If you are a junior level QS who wishes to gain exposure and be fast tracked to running your own small projects, this opportunity would be perfect for you.

What you will be doing

Preparing trade scope and works
Collation and issue of subcontract tenders
Prepare subcontractors appointment and proposal documents
Preparing subcontract documentation for signing by both parties in accordance with BH's Call Off Contract procedure.
Certifying subcontractor payments
Assessing variations with subcontractor
Preparing final account with subcontractors
Assisting with Surveyors' monthly cost reports
Attending subcontractor progress meetings as required
Assisting in production of contractual letters to subcontractors when requested
Assisting Project team with financial implications of site progress decisions
Measurement of elements incorporated into designs to establish value and extent of worksRequirements

At least 1+ years experience working within a QS position in the UK
An excellent approach to work and professional outlook on the construction industry
Main contractor/developer experience desired but not essential
Strong references
Computer literate
Excellent communication skills
Solid commercial acumen
Educated to a degree level or equivalent (BSc Quantity Surveying preferred)Benefits
