Randstad Education is immediately recruiting for a qualified, dynamic, and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to take on a full-time, long-term position at a distinguished school in the Liverpool area.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, prepare, and execute engaging, tailored lessons that precisely address the needs and targets outlined in all Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Systematically conduct both formal and informal assessments, thoroughly analyse student attainment data, and modify pedagogical approaches to guarantee optimal learning progression.
  • Select, create, and adapt all instructional materials and classroom activities, ensuring the curriculum is fully accessible to every single learner.
  • Form strong partnerships with Teaching Assistants, external support services, and parents/carers to implement a unified, interdisciplinary support framework.
  • Cultivate a structured, supportive, and completely inclusive learning environment that promotes outstanding conduct and publicly acknowledges the effort and success of every student.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

  • Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
  • Significant, demonstrated history of teaching students with a variety of SEN within a UK educational setting.
  • A comprehensive grasp of SEN codes of practice, various intervention strategies, and highly effective differentiation techniques.
  • Must be exceptionally patient, resourceful, proactive, and demonstrate superior classroom management capabilities.
  • Must possess a current, satisfactory Enhanced DBS check, or be prepared to apply without delay upon securing the role.
  • A relevant SEN qualification or extensive background supporting pupils with severe or complex needs is a substantial advantage.
