What will you do as an Assistant Accountant?

* Assist with month-end close, including journals, accruals, and prepayments

* Reconcile bank, credit card, and control accounts

* Assist with management accounts and reporting packs

* Support cash flow forecasting and budget monitoring

* Oversee purchase and sales ledger processes where needed

* Help improve internal financial controls and procedures

* Manage a small finance team

What do you need as an Assistant Accountant?

* AAT qualified or studying towards ACCA/CIMA (support may be offered)

* Solid knowledge of accounting principles and transactional finance

* Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, basic reporting)

* Proactive, hands-on, and adaptable — SME mindset essential!
